Heliomit SRL is proud to announce the development of a state-of-the-art solar panel manufacturing facility located in Bârlad, Vaslui County. This cutting-edge factory, situated at George Enescu Street, represents a major step forward in Romania’s transition to renewable energy and industrial innovation.

Key Highlights:
  • Production Capacity: The facility will have the capability to produce 1,500 MW of solar modules annually, making it one of the largest solar panel manufacturing plants in the European Union upon completion.
  • Advanced Technology: The factory will focus on high-efficiency solar panels, including TOPCon and heterojunction technologies, ensuring superior performance and innovation.
  • Local and Regional Impact: The plant will create 93 new jobs, including positions for engineers, technicians, and managers, contributing to the local economy and regional development.
  • Strategic Location: Situated in eastern Romania, the facility is perfectly positioned to serve the local market and neighboring countries, strengthening the EU's supply chain for renewable energy components.

Objectives:

This investment aligns with Romania’s and the EU’s goals for energy security and independence, driven by the Net-Zero Industrial Act and the RepowerEU initiative. By increasing the EU’s domestic production capacity for critical renewable energy technologies, this project supports the transition to a sustainable and competitive energy system.

Environmental and Economic Benefits:

  • Reducing Carbon Emissions: By producing solar panels locally, the project minimizes the environmental impact associated with long-distance imports.
  • Energy Independence: This facility strengthens Romania’s position in the renewable energy market, contributing to the EU’s goal of reducing dependence on non-European suppliers.

Heliomit’s solar panel manufacturing project exemplifies our commitment to sustainability, innovation, and economic growth. It is a testament to the potential of reindustrialization in Romania, demonstrating how modern manufacturing can integrate advanced technologies with local resources for a brighter, greener future.
