About Us
Welcome to Heliomit, a dynamic and innovative renewable energy company committed to advancing sustainable solutions. Founded in 2021 as the photovoltaic (PV) development arm of the Rosavis Group, an established agricultural company, Heliomit began with a vision to transform underutilized land into renewable energy assets.
Our journey started with the successful development of a 1.2 MW solar park in Gara Rosiesti, near Rosavis Group’s headquarters. This project, where Heliomit acted as the general contractor, involved external engineering expertise and internal project management for development, acquisition, and installation. This park is now fully operational, marking our first step into the solar energy landscape.
Building on this success, we are now advancing a 3.2 MW solar park near Bârlad, currently in the “ready-to-build” phase, with construction starting soon. Additionally, we are developing a 28 MW agrivoltaic solar PV plant near Gara Rosiesti, combining solar energy production with sustainable land use for grazing small-sized cattle. This innovative approach reflects our commitment to integrating renewable energy with agricultural practices.
Recognizing the growing demand for energy storage solutions, we have also embarked on developing a 37.5 MW/75 MWh lithium-ion battery energy storage system. This project, with secured land and a pending grid access permit, is a testament to our dedication to addressing the challenges of grid stability and renewable energy integration.
In 2024, Heliomit took a bold step into manufacturing by securing a financing agreement with Romania’s Ministry of Energy to establish a 1,500 MW solar panel production facility in Bârlad, Vaslui County. This facility will be one of the largest in the EU at the time of commissioning, capable of meeting local market demands and supplying neighboring regions. Our decision to enter solar panel manufacturing stems from a belief in the importance of securing critical components for the green energy transition, aligning with EU initiatives like the EU Industrial Act and RepowerEU.
